BF5 personality test is based on the Big Five Model of Personality. This model is based on empirical psycholexical research originated in early 20th century and is primarily a descriptive model. BF5 measures what psychologists and organizational practitioners consider to be the five fundamental dimensions of personality (OCEAN).

Here is a brief description of the factors assessed by this test:

• Openness / Imaginations: appreciation for art, emotion, adventure, unusual ideas, imagination, curiosity, and variety of experience.
• Meticulousness (Conscientiousness): tendency to show self-discipline, act dutifully, and aim for achievement; planned rather than spontaneous behaviour.
• Sociability/Dynamism (Extraversion): energy, positive emotions, surgency, and tendency to seek stimulation and the company of others.
• Conscious of Others (Agreeableness): tendency to be compassionate and cooperative rather than being suspicious and antagonistic towards others.
• Emotional Balance (Neuroticism): tendency to experience unpleasant emotions easily, such as anger, anxiety, depression, or vulnerability; sometimes called as emotional instability.
